Intense Moment Turns into Hilarious Encounter
Auburn basketball player, Broome, found himself caught in an intense moment during a recent game. Reacting on instinct, he quickly slapped a fan’s hand away, thinking it was just another rowdy spectator. However, to his surprise, it turned out to be none other than the acclaimed actor, Morgan Freeman.
A Big Fan of Movies and Freeman
Broome, who happens to be a big movie buff, recognized Freeman and immediately regretted his actions. “I kind of got his hand off,” Broome admitted. “I saw who it was, and I’m a big movie guy. I probably watched one of his movies on the plane coming here.” Realizing his mistake, he quickly apologized, expressing his admiration for the actor.
An Apology and Understanding
During a break in the game, Broome approached Freeman to offer a sincere apology. “I’m just like, ‘I’m sorry, again,’” he explained. Freeman, showing his good nature, reassured the player, saying, “You all good. Just keep playing.” Broome was relieved by Freeman’s understanding and described him as a “very good guy.” The incident ended on a positive note, with Broome expressing his love for the actor.
Auburn’s Strong Performance Leads to Victory
Despite the unexpected encounter, Broome managed to keep his focus on the game. He contributed immensely to Auburn’s victory, scoring 15 points, grabbing nine rebounds, dishing out seven assists, and making three blocks. His teammate, Jaylin Williams, also had an impressive performance with 16 points, five rebounds, and two assists. Allen Flanigan led all scorers with 20 points, while Matthew Murrell contributed 18 points, five rebounds, and three assists.
