Odds Shift as Canadian Bettors Slam “No”
FanDuel Canada, known for its popular prop bets, has introduced a unique proposition wager for the upcoming Super Bowl. The bet is centered around the rumored relationship between Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and pop star Taylor Swift.
The odds initially opened at +140 for “yes” and -170 for “no.” However, Canadian bettors disagreed with these lines and heavily favored the “no” option. As a result, the odds have significantly shifted.
Currently, a $100 bet on “yes” would yield a whopping $920 in winnings. On the other hand, one would have to wager $2,200 on “no” just to make $100.
It is important to note that the proposal, if it were to happen, must take place on the field after the Super Bowl.
A Rumored Relationship Revealed
The speculation about a romantic connection between Kelce and Swift began during the football season. Swift’s presence at several Chiefs games, including all three playoff games, further fueled the rumors.
Swift confirmed the relationship in an interview, stating that it started after Kelce mentioned her on his podcast. She expressed gratitude for the private time they had before going public, emphasizing that their first date was not the Chiefs game where they were seen together.
After the AFC Championship victory, Kelce and Swift shared a kiss on the field, leading many to believe they also exchanged “I love yous.”
Performance on the Field
Some fans speculated that Kelce’s subpar regular season was influenced by his relationship with Swift. However, he disproved this notion with an outstanding performance in the AFC Championship game, recording 11 catches for 116 yards and a touchdown.
Swift’s Attendance at the Super Bowl
Swift reportedly plans to fly from Tokyo, where she has a concert scheduled on February 10, to Las Vegas to attend the Super Bowl the next day. With Tokyo being 17 hours ahead of Vegas, she will have ample time to spare before the game.
