Linda Yaccarino, owner and Chief Technical Officer (CTO) of X (formerly Twitter), sent a memo to employees addressing Elon Musk’s recent interview with Andrew Ross Sorkin. Yaccarino described the interview as “candid” and “profound.”
In the interview, Musk accused advertisers of attempting to “blackmail” him by withdrawing ads from the platform after Musk endorsed a social media post making anti-Semitic remarks. Musk’s comments prompted condemnation from the White House.
Yaccarino emphasized Musk’s “unmatched and completely unvarnished perspective and vision for the future.” She encouraged employees to watch the interview and absorb its significance. Musk criticized companies like Disney and Apple for pausing their advertising campaigns on X, denying allegations of anti-Semitism and apologizing for his posts on the platform.
