Khayla Pointer led the team with an outstanding performance, scoring 25 points and grabbing 14 rebounds. Faustine Aifuwa also contributed significantly with 16 points and 14 rebounds.

After the game, Pointer praised her teammates for their encouragement and support. She believed that their strong bond made them an unstoppable force on the court. She emphasized that opponents couldn’t guard against all of them, highlighting the team’s depth and unity.
LSU Dominates Northwestern State
LSU dominated the game from the start, leaving Northwestern State struggling to keep up. Although Northwestern State managed to narrow the deficit in the third quarter, cutting it down to 15 points, LSU quickly regained control and closed the quarter with an impressive 60-26 lead. Northwestern State coach Anna Nimitz acknowledged LSU’s game plan and described the match as an “ugly” game.
