Overcoming Challenges on and off the Field
Green Bay Packers linebacker, Crosby, recently revealed the extent of his bursa injury to his knee, which he played through during the 2023 season. In a candid interview with Fox News Digital, Crosby gave an update on his health, discussing the struggles he faced and the road to recovery.
A Difficult Journey
Crosby admitted that he had undergone two surgeries in just two weeks, emphasizing the physical toll the injuries had taken on him. “I’ve had two surgeries in two weeks, so it’s been a struggle. I’m not going to lie,” he said. Despite the challenges, he acknowledged that such setbacks are part of the game and come with a price. He expressed optimism about his progress, stating, “I’m feeling a lot better. We’re going in the right direction. … It’s different, but I’ll be good.”
Record-Breaking Season
Despite battling through injuries, Crosby had an exceptional season, achieving career highs in sacks, tackles, and tackles for a loss. His impressive performance included 14½ sacks, 90 tackles, and 23 tackles for a loss. Additionally, he recorded 31 quarterback hits and 55 solo tackles. Crosby’s dedication to his craft is evident, both on and off the field.
Invisalign Treatment and Oral Health
In the midst of his recovery, Crosby also highlighted the importance of taking care of his body, just as he takes care of his oral health. As one of the more than 400 NFL players who have received Invisalign treatment, Crosby expressed his satisfaction with the brand’s clear aligners. Since 2020, Invisalign has been the official clear aligner brand of the league. In addition, Invisalign is sponsoring the NFL Honors, where Crosby is nominated for Defensive Player of the Year.
A Smile Transformation
Crosby revealed that he had never worn braces before but desired to improve his teeth. Despite his initial dislike for dental visits, he commended the dental professionals who helped him along the way. “I hated the dentist. I still hate the dentist. They do a great job. Like I said, confidence is everything. They’re the best at what they do. They’ve helped me a ton,” he explained.
Recognition and Awards
Crosby’s outstanding performance has earned him a nomination for the NFL Honors, scheduled for February 8th. Alongside defensive back DaRon Bland, linebacker Micah Parsons, defensive end Myles Garrett, and linebacker T.J. Watt, Crosby will be vying for the prestigious title of Defensive Player of the Year.
