Despite the dire circumstances, a sewing workshop in Rafah, Gaza, managed by Maysaa Qatati, is producing affordable diapers at half the price of mass-produced ones. The workshop’s output of 500 diapers a day is a small but crucial step in providing for war-weary parents.

Imad Abu Arara, who sells the workshop’s diapers at the market, highlights the importance of this initiative, stating, “This factory is an alternative to this problem and is much cheaper.” With cotton pads as an improvement, these diapers offer a practical solution amidst the scarcity of resources in Gaza.
