Vision for an Outsider Government
During a recent town hall event in Corydon, Iowa, the 38-year-old presidential candidate, Ramaswamy, expressed his belief that an ideal vice president would be someone like Elon Musk. Despite acknowledging that Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, cannot run for the vice presidency or presidency due to not being a natural-born citizen of the U.S., Ramaswamy mentioned that he would consider Musk as an advisor in the White House.
Breaking the Mold in Washington, D.C.
Ramaswamy emphasized the importance of having outsiders in the White House, stating that it helps to have individuals who have “complete and total disregard for the norms of Washington, D.C.” He believes that the current system is “fake” and “made up,” and a fresh perspective is needed to bring about real change.
A Meeting of Like-Minded Individuals
At the end of October, Ramaswamy revealed that Musk had attended one of his fundraisers in Northern California. He described Musk as a fellow “free speech absolutist” and highlighted their shared vision in a world where such views are increasingly rare.
Continuing the Campaign Trail
Ramaswamy’s stop in Corydon was part of a series of campaign stops in Iowa, including Chariton and Indianola. He aims to connect with voters and promote his outsider approach to governance.
