Shock and Grief
The UC Berkeley campus was struck by tragedy last week as 19-year-old Marco Troper, son of a former YouTube executive, was found unresponsive at the university’s Clark Kerr Campus.
Devastating Loss
The university confirmed Troper’s passing, with emergency responders pronouncing him dead on the scene. Troper’s grandmother, Esther Wojcicki, expressed profound grief in a Facebook post, describing him as a “kind, loving, smart, fun and beautiful human being.”
Investigation Underway
Authorities have ruled out foul play, with the Alameda County coroner’s office conducting an investigation to determine the cause of Troper’s untimely death. The young freshman was pursuing a math major and had just begun his second semester at UC Berkeley.
